Why didnt the USA see the christmas day bombing?
there was a massive flood of evidence whic suggested that the man who tried to blow up the plane over the USA on a coming form the netherlands. for one the nigerian intelligence agency warned the CIA and its own local security agency to keep a watchful eye on the man. secondly the man was already on MI5's watch list and denied him visa. thirdly the mans father some prominent banker actually told the Nigerian Intelligence Agency and went to the AMerican Embassy in Nigeria and spoke personally to the CIA that his son has severed all ties to the family and had flown and disappeared in Yemen a known terrorist hotspot for several weeks. Then he's reason for traveling to his USA was 'religious' reasons. i mean the USA doesn't allow so many people into their country and this doesn't seem like a good reason? then the man didn't even carry bloody luggage i mean that's like the biggest clue no luggage? for religious reason? and finally but no list he paid for the ticket some $3000 in cash. that's right cash which in most airports raises some form of alert. were the customs officers or CIA on some coffee break or Christmas party?The silliest bit is now they want to waste money screening people from certain nations which now includes nigeria...which is friggin stupid because 99.99 % of terrorist plots on the USa were from suspicious people already. Oh and the NSA heard of a plot to blow up a transatlantic flight using a nigerian man who would get the bombs form Yemen.

What is the holdup with the Christmas bomber trial? This is an " open and shut" case open the jail, shut the door, throw the key away . Evidence is clear. This is not a US citizen and was here for illegal purposes lots of witnesses. Civil liberties people can sit this one out rights don't apply to terrorists in this country illegally.. Jury should be made up of airplane passengers, families of US soldiers in Afghan, and families of 9 11. No excuse for this kind of delay.

But with the last blizzard, most stations were reporting the weather ALL day What do we need the weather channel for if the regular channels are reporting weather all day lol? They are either brave or dumb when they stand out in the street covering a story and cars almost hit them or the winds almost blow them down.You're so right lol. And I've noticed that the regular street reporters are even doing the weather now. They may as well make everyone at the station a 'Meterorologist' since anybody there can do the job lol. It's been ridiculous here. They cut off all the regular shows just to tell people that it was snowing

I'm just listening to President Obama now admitting again that the Christmas Day bombing was a result of intelligence failure and breakdown of the security systems we now PAY BILLIONS of $$ for.Yet, I just heard in the media that Washington is not, at this time, intending to hold anyone accountable for it. Nobody will be fired in the near future over this incident.Instead, we will spend hundreds of millions, if not billions on body scanners, and we will subject law abiding citizens to dangerous radiation.So instead of correct the problem .... we 1. continue to pay big $$$$ for the security and intelligence that FAILED, and 2. pay new $$$ in the hundreds of million or possible billions, for new scanning equipment, and3. further erode the privacy of law abiding citizensAre we not paying double? How far can this pattern go on before it bankrupts us?Who profits from it?Didn't the government learn after September 11, 2001? The intelligence failure was admitted then but nobody was held accountable, and nobody fired. Instead, people in key intelligence and defense positions at the time we PROMOTED. Instead of holding them accountable and correcting failed defense and intelligence systems, we embarked on global war and the dismantling of the Bill of Rights?Does it make sense to you to keep funding, and increasing funding for, a failed security apparatus without holding anyone accountable ... and instead, continue to dismantle individual liberties when it has been clearly proven that the dismantling of liberties has not solved the problem?Is this how you would manage your household budget?
