What happened to organic gardening magazine?
I used to buy this, now i have a garden again I can't find it anywhere or a website. Did it fold? I'm sure I saw a copy in a newsagents not that long ago, but having searched literally dozens of newsagents over the past couple of months it seems to have disappearedNB this refers to the UK publication
Container gardening in Florida...?
I need a list of plants that are resistant to the type of insects here in Tampa. I know very little about plants and gardening, but I love plants and I would like to have a container garden outside my apartment.The last garden I planted grew beautifully until it was ravaged by pests. My mini sunflower grew taller than me in a few weeks, but then it was destroyed by some kind of caterpillar moth. My celosia quickly became completely infested by tiny black bugs that killed it. The zinnias suffered a similar fate, just not quite as quickly. Marigolds seemed to fare a little better, but the only thing that has really survived is some kind of potted palm that I don't know the name for.I don't want to use any pesticides because other animals whom I like also visit my plants, like lizards and frogs. I can be consistent with watering as long as I know how much or how often to do it, and I can provide either full sun or partial shade. The only problem I have really had is the bugs. So if anyone knows some plants that grow well in containers, like it hot, and are resistant either to bugs period or to the type of bugs in the central gulf coast area of Florida, let's hear about 'em Thanks

When container gardening.....?
I have just bought seeds and a few suggest starting indoors before last frost, etc. But since I just bought them and our weather has been high 60's to low 70's all week and only continuing upwards, do I still have to start them separately, or can I just throw them in the pots now?
Getting a garden ready.. need help!!?
i just moved into a new rental home and there is a pretty large, fenced in garden area. i cut down all the weeds and just want some suggestions on soil preparation. also, should i go through with a garden rake and get the rest of the weeds out? just new to the whole gardening thing
Gardening dilemma, advise needed re weed control fabric..HELP?
we have inherited a large cottage garden that has not been weeded for the last couple of years, the lawn is a nice shape with very large borders, there a lot of well established plants flowers and bushes, such as holly, lilac, etc. The problem we have hit is that the previous owners have put weed control fabric down, which in parts is just rotten, in other parts it still is strong, but the main of it is covered with weeds that are impossible to pull out because of the fabric, and also you can't dig into it with a fork because of the fabric...further along the border, they have put some black plastic stuff down, with bark over the top, this also is covered with a mat of grass. Can anyone advice me on how to deal with this problem...I need help PLEASE??? Thankyou
Paint wooden handles of old garden tools?
i am painting the wooden handles of my gardening tools...all the original paint has worn off...do i need to prime or can i just apply semi enamal paint to the bare wood...or do i need to prime it first...what is the best way to paint the handles
Gardening question please help?
I know that vinegar kills grass weeds and salt prevents it from growing back for a while, but if I mix the vinegar and salt together will it still work the same? Kill and not grow back for a while?
