What could give a 12 year old girl extreme lower back pain?
She said it started three days ago but now it is so severe that she can't sleep. My mom is taking her to the emergency room. Do you guys have any ideas of what it might be?

I'm 15, and i've been experiencing extremely lower back pain. The pain is across, from side to side, in line with my hips. These pains usually happen once every 1 2 weeks, and lasts 2 5 hours. Heat does not help, ice does not help, and pain killers do not help. It gets triggered when i sleep on a hard bed, on a couch, if i lift heavy objects, bend in any way. But it mostly just comes at random. When I get it, no matter what position I change to sitting down, laying on my side, back, pillow between my knees, standing up, etc. It does not help. These pains have been going on for about a year. Also, I've been diagnosed with a mild case of scoliosis, but the doctor said it shouldn't cause this kind of pain.I've went to another doctor, and they said it's normal, and it's my period. I haven't started my period yet. I don't know any other girls who have endured this pain.

I am 25 years old and I think I hyper extended my back playing football. The pain is so severe that it hurts to walk, to bend down, I'm having a hard to opening doors, getting in and out of my car, even putting on clothes. Can anyone help? I've been taking Icy Hot and putting a cold pack on it.

I know it's Christmas, so many people may not be on here, but my dad has been having bad back problems for a long time. Most of the time it's fine, but every once in a while, it just goes out on him and he can barely walk. It's hard for me to see my dad in that much pain, and he's like that today...and it's Christmas. I tried helping him stretch his back, but I was just wondering if anyone knows of anything that will actually relieve him for the rest of the day...until he can get into a doctor or something tomorrow. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I don't want him to feel this way on Christmas. Thanks

What could cause extreme lower back pain near tail bone? Please help?
I have severe lower back pain near my tail bone. It hurts when I bend over,arch my back,sneeze or when I sit up. I do not have a problem when standing or walking. I do not have any fever,numbness or chills associated with the back pain.I did not fall. I am not sure how I hurt my lower back and I have very high arches where flat shoes hurts my lower back moreI also have a bony rear end. So sitting hurts even more.I did not fall. Does anyone have any temporary suggestions to dealing with extreme lower back pain?
My boyfriend has had back problems in the past but nothing over the counter medicines couldn't take care of. However about three hours ago his lower back suddenly became so painful that I had to help him sit up and walk around. We are waiting for tomorrow to see the doctor but I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas that might help in the meantime? I gave him a heating pad but it didn't help and the excedrin is not helping either. Any suggestions?

What is the best over the counter medicine for extreme lower back pain?
I've iced it... heated it... and taken everything from Alieve, Darvocet to Bayer Back & Body... nothing is helping. It usually goes away after a few days, but there has got to be something to help with the deep muscle pain. Any suggestions???

Extreme lower back pain?
I have been having extreme lower back pain for about the past 2 weeks. It is tolerable on some days, but randomly I have been waking up hardly able to walk. Ice helps slightly, same with heat. Advil was working at first, but not anymore. Also massages worked in the beginning but dont seem to anymore. I really don't want to see a doctor because I don't have the money for it, especially if it is nothing serious. I am in my early 20s so its not like I am just getting old, but something I do feel like im walking around like an old lady. My mom has lower back problems as well but I don't know when she started having them. I am active and at a healthy weight so I don't think that has anything to do with it either. Does anyone think they might know? Or does anyone have an awesome remedy for back pain?

Extreme lower back pain?
Ok so yesterday i felt fine and then all of a sudden out of no were is this really sore pain in my lower back. It got worse and then i ended up taking a pain killer which didn't work. I went to bed and didn't sleep to well as i was trying to get comfortable and then i got up to get my daughters dummy and as soon as i got up i was stiff as a board couldn't over to get her dummy and then all of a sudden the room started to go funny and i had 2 sit down and then fell asleep on the floor, the pain was so sore, it is also in my legs as well and i feel so tired as well

Extreme lower back pain?
i'm overweight. when i stand or walk for more than 15 minutes i get this crippling lower back pain. it feels as if my spine is bending forward. i notice it most when i'm doing dishes.i was told by a doctor that i have a slight curve of the spine. i can't think of what it's called i was given a 30 day supply of a mild pain medication which did absolutely nothing. is this just caused by being overweight? is there anything i can do to ease the pain? could this be a serious problem?
